Logline: Alexey (46) is preparing the last time the island, where his dead father rested every year. They argued with him and did not have time to reconcile. Alexei wants to do everything and leave because he doesn’t like this place. His mother is holding him up and trying to reconcile her family at least now.

What’s the story
After his father’s funeral, Alexey and his mother go to Chaykin Island. Alexey does not want to be here. The place where he has not been since his youth reminds him of his father. He was strict to him and, as our hero is sure, put the island in the first place in life.
Alexey excavates a cache (a hole where the regulars keep things in the duvet), and with him memories of different years. As a result, the hero discovers something about himself, his father, and the way he sees life.

Motivation
The protagonist’s prototype is our close friend in similar circumstances. He spent his entire childhood and youth on Chaikin Island, a real existing place, a special world where life flows and feels very different. We want to give it to those who watch our movie.
Besides, there aren’t many stories about father love, father-son relationships, and we think it’s important to show that dad has that same love.

Roadmap of the film
The start of shooting of our film is scheduled for September 6, 2022. Premiere of the film — May 15, 2023.
In order to reconstruct all the scenes of the script we need seven shifts and two months of preparation, one month has already been successfully completed. We go exactly by our deadlines, perform all tasks.
With this we are confident that our film will turn out exactly as we want it to be. The film has already found its mood, and even at the stage of creation it becomes more tangible, close and warm to the heart.

Locations almost completely correspond to reality. Chaykin island is part of the Volga "archipelago", one of the islands opposite the village of Ermakovo. In the season there continue to rest people, maintain island life. And even the neighbors of our protagonist’s prototype and his mom are at their camp this summer.
Shooting location
The story we are writing is a 30-year-old record of a small world imbued with human decisions, fates, joys and sorrows. The world where the Volgians and Samarkans fled from the city bustle.
For us, filming days on the island is an adventure, because we’re gonna be camping for four whole days with a big movie family. Closer to the roots, as they say:)

Another part of the shooting will take place in an apartment that we are styling into three time periods: 1985, when Alexey, our main hero, was 9 years, 1995, and 2021-2022, our days.
